The automatic Thar variants carry the highest waiting period, whereas, the convertible and hard-top petrol-manual trims have the shortest waiting time. Yes, the demand for the Thar is pretty high, but there's another factor behind these delays: the which are important for a car's electronics. As a result, Thars are sitting at dealerships without the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system so deliveries are being halted until the displays arrive and are fitted onto the off-roader.
Currently, the Thar is offered only in the AX Opt and LX variants in convertible soft-top and hardtop options. The AX and AX STD variants, which came with a fixed soft-top roof and side-facing seats, were discontinued a while back.
