Tata Safari Bookings Officially Begins From Today February 4

The Safari will be offered in six variants: XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. The automatic gearbox will come in three variants -- XMA, XZA, and XZA+ -- taking the total count to nine. It will be offered in two seating layouts: a 6-seater with captain seats and a 7-seater with bench seating for the middle row occupants. The former is limited to the top-spec XZ+ and XZA+.

Safety is covered by six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, and electronic stability control.
Powering the Safari is a FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine that develops 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Safari can be had only with a front-wheel drivetrain. Tata, however, could introduce an all-wheel drive variant if demand persists.
