What's new in the ZS EV? Managing Director of MG Motor India Rajeev Chaba has hinted at an updated battery. Currently, the ZS EV utilises a 44.5kWh battery pack that powers the 143PS/353Nm electric motor. This translates to a claimed range of 340km. A DC fast charger charges the electric SUV from 0-80 percent in 50 minutes. A normal 7.4kWhm wall box charger does the same in 6 to 8 hours.
While cosmetic updates seem unlikely, expect some additional features in the 2021 version, including an updated i-Smart connected technology with Hinglish commands and probably a 360 degree camera . Currently, the ZS EV offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-pane sunroof, 6-way adjustable driver's seat, a PM2.5 air filter, and rain-sensing front wipers. Safety features include six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, and ESP.
The electric SUV is offered in two variants: Excite and Exclusive. While it currently retails from Rs 20.88 lakh to Rs 23.58 lakh (ex-showroom), expect the 2021 upgrades to make it dearer. The ZS EV will continue to rival the.
