Mahindra Hikes Prices Of XUV300 Scorpio XUV500 Marazzo And More

• The XUV300 garners the highest price hike, partly due to its new features.

• The Bolero gets the smallest price increment in the lineup.

• Rise in commodity prices and various other input costs are the reason behind the price increment.

Back in December 2020, Mahindra had announced that it would be hiking prices of its model lineup, due to a rise in commodity prices and various other input costs. And now, that increment has taken effect for most of its lineup aside from the, it could get another one soon. Here are the revised prices:

We start off with the XUV300, the model that's received the biggest price hike: up to Rs 65,000. Part of the reason behind this is the of BlueSense Plus connected technology in the W8 (O) AMT variant and the electric sunroof trickling down to the W6, the second to base variant. Mahindra also recently added an AMT gearbox option for the petrol motor and axed the diesel-powered W8 AMT from the lineup. While the base W4 has been untouched for both petrol and diesel engines, only the W8 (O) diesel-manual received a price hike unlike its petrol counterpart.

For the XUV300's larger sibling, the XUV500, all variants have received a price increment of Rs 25,000, which puts the SUV at a price range of Rs 13.83 lakh to Rs 19.56 lakh. Mahindra is slated to introduce the around March 2021 with a host of premium features that will make it even dearer.

The Bolero gets the smallest hike out of the lineup: in the range of Rs 14,000 to Rs 23,000. The top-spec B6 (O) gets the smallest increment, with the mid-spec B6 receiving a higher price hike. The Bolero now retails from Rs 8.17 lakh to Rs 9.15 lakh.

Another model getting a consistent price increment for all its variants is the Scorpio. It receives a Rs 26,000 increment in pricing, which translates to a price range of Rs 12.68 lakh to Rs 16.53 lakh. The Scorpio is due a generational update, which is expected to happen later this year.

The Marazzo's pricing has been increased in the range of Rs 21,000 to Rs 39,000 depending on the variant. This puts the Marazzo at a price range of Rs 11.64 lakh and Rs 13.80 lakh.

All variants of the Mahindra KUV100 NXT have been given a price increment of Rs 20,000. The carmaker currently retails the KUV100 NXT from Rs 5.87 lakh to Rs 6.34 lakh.
