, at prices starting from Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Essentially a third-row derivative of the Harrier, the Safari comes in six variants, viz, XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. It gets 6-seater and 7-seater layouts, and is powered by a diesel engine. Despite borrowing heavily from the Harrier, the Safari gets some distinguishing elements.

Up front, the Safari looks similar to the, but there are subtle tweaks like a tri-arrow grille and silver skid plate. The sides are where the real differences are -- larger 18-inch wheels, a stepped roof (for non-sunroof variants), and an upright tailgate thanks to the addition of the third row. That's also why the Safari is 80mm taller than the Harrier. There's also a Safari Adventure Edition that sports a tropical green color scheme, a dual-tone black-and-light-brown interior upholstery theme, blacked-out wheels, and chrome elements in matte black/gunmetal grey.

The dashboard layout remains pretty much the same as the Harrier aside from a new black-white colour scheme. The main difference is once you head towards the second row, as the Safari features six-seater and seven-seater layouts. Third-row occupants get separate AC units and two USB charging ports However, that third row has led to a 73-litre boot with all the rows up.

There are some additional features over the Harrier such as electronic parking brake with auto hold, tyre pressure monitor, rear disc brakes, ambient lighting and i-RA connected car technology. It retains bits like an 8.8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch semi-digital drivers display, panoramic sunroof, and powered driver's seat. Safety kit consists of six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, and electronic stability control.

Under the hood, the Safari is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine pushing 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque., that can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. While the Safari is only offered with a front-wheel drivetrain, the carmaker has hinted at an all-wheel-drive option depending on the demand.

Three exterior body shades are on offer: Royale Blue, Daytona Grey, and Orcus White. It's rivals include the .
