What's new for the Superb starts off up front, featuring new adaptive LED headlamps with LED DRLs, illuminated LED eyelashes and LED turn indicators as standard on all variants. The adaptive headlights get city, inter-city, motorway, and rain modes. An interesting addition to the sedan is a 'coming / leaving home' headlamp function. This function means that the lights are switched on when you unlock your car via the remote control. So this helps illuminate the way to and from your front door, whenever you arrive or set off in the dark.

Heading inside, the Laurin andamp; Klement variant features a new two spoke steering wheel design, whereas the SportLine variant gets a new three spoke flat bottom SuperSport multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifts. The other feature additions include an updated UI for the 8-inch touchscreen unit, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, and Type-C USB ports. For the Laurin andamp; Klement variant a 360-degree camera with park assist has been added. Moreover, the virtual cockpit (digital instrument cluster) that was exclusive to the Sportline variant, is now standard on all variants.

Mechanically, the Superb sedan remains as is, powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that develops 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

As things stand, the Skoda Superb only has the , to contend with. But the Volkswagen Passat could make a comeback as it has been spotted, testing in the country.
