Facelifted BMW 5 Series 6 Series GT To Launch In India In 2021

Most of the exterior updates are at the front and rear, with the silhouette remaining unchanged for both models. As with any BMW update, the grille has grown larger, though it's easier on the eye than the. The sleeker LED headlamps gel well and gives it an angrier stare. Meanwhile, the rear-end comes with a new set of LED tail lamps.

BMW is likely to offer both the models in its standard and M Sport trims. The latter adds an aggressive looking bumper and M-Sport alloy wheels to the mix. The M Sport is also likely to be limited to the 530D, 630D, 530i and 630i variants.

Updates on the inside are miniscule in contrast to the exteriors. The dashboard layout is familiar to the existing model, but you get two new trim options with gloss black inserts. It continues to feature BMW's i-Drive infotainment system, however, this time around it's a connected unit capable of receiving OTA updates. Both models also come with a host of driver assistance features such as lane keeping assist, lane changing assist, and optional parking assistant.

The existing 5 Series is currently priced between Rs 55.40 lakh and Rs 68.40 lakh while the costs Rs 65.90 lakh to Rs 77 lakh. We expect both models to command a slight premium in their facelifted avatars.
