A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission offered with the Elantra N Line. It gets paddle shifters that let you take manual control over the transmission to keep the powertrain in the meat of the powerband. Complementing the added performance are a set of stiffer springs, independent rear suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels.

But the Elantra N Line is not entirely about performance as it also looks the part of a sporty sedan. Yes, that giant cascading grille has been retained but the N Line variant gets aggressive airdams in the bumper. It also sits lower and the stance is further enhanced with sleek looking alloys and side skirts. We quite like the rear three-quarters of the Elantra N Line as it gets a coupe-like roofline that flows neatly to the boot lid that comes with an integrated spoiler. The rear design is rounded off with a set of connected tail lamps and dual exhaust tips.

Inside, the Elantra N Line comes with a black dashboard with plenty of red stitching. The seats have been beefed up while the headrests get the letter 'N' engraved in them. It also comes with a host of driver assistance features like forward collision assist, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, and blind spot collision assist.

Sure, the Elantra N Line's engine isn't as powerful as the Octavia RS'. But it looks to excite buyers with peppy performance, a long list of features and tempting looks. Hyundai has toyed with the idea of bringing its N Line cars to India before and we hope to see the Elantra N Line on our roads in the near future. Fingers crossed
