Hummer EV Reveal By December 2020 Tesla Cybertruck Watch Out

Some of you may remember this iconic SUV as Arnold 'The Terminator' Schwarzenegger's previous set of wheels. Others might remember seeing them on their TV screens blitzing through the Iraqi desert equipped with rifles and grenade launchers. You might have even drawn one in your notebook when you weren't paying attention in school days. The Hummer had such a massive fan following back then that most of us dreamed of owning one. Yes, we miss this massive intimidating SUV even today. But now the burly Hummer is set to make a comeback and here's when it'll be revealed

GMC will take the wraps off the Hummer EV in sometime between September and December this year. While the earlier SUV was known to be a gas guzzler, the new one doesn't even need a sip of the sticky stuff. The new Hummer's all-electric powertrain develops 1000PS of power and a mind boggling 15,592Nm of torque. And all of this comes instantly Given the mind boggling numbers, this ginormous brick on wheels could put supercars to shame with a 0-100kmph time of 3 seconds.

GMC says the Hummer EV will get Ultium batteries but it hasn't mentioned the capacity of the battery yet. GM's Ultium batteries range between 50kWh to 200kWh where the latter can return a range of around 400 miles per charge. The new Hummer will also support Level 2 and DC fast charging to juice up those batteries quickly.

The teaser reveals an adrenaline mode which could be similar to the Ludicrous mode seen on Teslas. Crab mode hints towards the electric Hummer's off-road prowess.

The latest Hummer also looks the part Yes, you'll still be able to draw its silhouette in your notebook as it maintains its butch upright stance. A teaser also revealed its front-end, which retains its iconic slatted grille with an LED bar behind it. It also boasts a removable roof for the proper off-road experience. And just like before, you can have it as an SUV or a pick-up truck.

Bookings for the Hummer will begin as soon as the SUV is revealed and deliveries are set to begin in early 2021. It will take on in its home market. Yes, it won't be coming to India. But we are pretty sure that won't stop Hummer purists from importing this SUV.
