Lithium-ion models will have removable batteries
Not long ago, RR Global, a conglomerate in the electrical industry, announced that it was entering the electric two-wheeler segment with a company called BGauss. The company has now showed-off two products, announced that they will be produced at a facility in Chakan, and that sales will begin in early August.
The two models are the B8 and the A2 - the former is available in three variants while the latter comes in two. The B8 is the higher performing version with a 1,900-watt, hub-mounted motor and a 1.45kWh battery. The B8 can be had with either a lead-acid battery (7-8 hour charging time) or a removable lithium-ion battery (with a 3 hour charging time).
The B8 is available in three variants - the base lead-acid model, the lithium-ion model and what the company calls the LI Technology model. All three claim the same top speed of 50kph, but the top model gets features like navigation assist, ride metrics, remote diagnostics, live tracking, geo-fencing and more. The company claims a 78km range with the lead-acid model and a 70km range with the lithium-ion models.
The A2, meanwhile, uses a 250-watt motor, which is good for a top speed of 25kph. The A2 can also be had with a choice of a lead-acid battery (7-8 hours charge time) or a removable 1.29kWh lithium-ion battery that takes 2-3 hours to charge.
Both the B8 and A2 come with three riding modes and are available in blue, white and grey colour schemes. BGauss says it will offer features like an anti-theft alarm, anti-theft motor locking, an LED instrument panel, DRLs, keyless start, a centralised seat lock, USB charging, a Reverse Assist, side stand sensor and more.
