Honda Grazia 125 BS6 Launched In India Gets An ACG Starter Among Other Features

Honda has added yet another BS6-compliant model to its 125cc lineup with the launch of the and consequently receives all of its features. However, this has pushed the price of the scooter to Rs 73,336 (ex-showroom Delhi), a premium of Rs 11,000 over the outgoing BS4 model. It's available in four colour options -- yellow, red, blue and grey.

For starters, the BS6 Grazia 125 looks a lot sharper than before. It features a new LED headlight and LED DRL similar to the one seen on the Honda Dio. It even gets a pass light switch and an external fuel-filler cap, just like the rest of Honda's scooter range. The full-digital instrument console now features a bar-type tachometer on both sides of the speedometer, a clock, and a range indicator. Aside from this, the display features two tripmeters, an odometer, and reads out information like real-time fuel efficiency and distance to empty.

The Honda Grazia is powered by the same 124cc fuel-injected engine as the Activa 125. It makes 8.29PS of power at 6000rpm and 10.3Nm of peak torque at 5000rpm. That said, with the inclusion of start-stop tech and fuel-injection, it is claimed to offer 13 per cent better fuel efficiency compared to the outgoing model. It gets the same CVT transmission as before.

The engine comes equipped with a side-stand engine immobiliser and an ACG starter motor which requires less battery power and makes starting the scooter a silent affair.

In terms of hardware, the BS6 Grazia comes with a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel setup with alloy rims reserved for the top-spec variant. Even the 190mm front disc brake comes as an optional extra with a 130mm drum brake at the rear and CBS as standard. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and three-step preload-adjustable monoshock with 16mm of extra ground clearence.
